Come join us for Worship on Sunday's at 9:00 a.m.
We are located at the corner of Center &
Washington in Oketo Kansas.
Members of our church participate in community affairs providing food and labor for the local Fireman's
Fun Day, the annual Masons Pancake Day, and the Oketo Historical Society's annual baked potato day.
Members of our church install and remove Christmas decorations on city streets and at the church.  We,
the church, had a Christmas program for the community with treats for all.
In the summer of 2004 we had our second "Ice Cream Social and Talent Show" at City Hall.  The Talent
Show has a variety with singing, music, readings, dancing and comedy acts.  We are planning on having
one in 2005, hope you can come join us.
We support the Marysville Food Pantry, Roundup for Hunger, Ogden Friendship House, UMCOR, One
Great Hour of Sharing, and the Disaster Relief Fund.

OKETO UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
Our pledge to the Flint Hills District has been paid in full for over 34 years.  In 2004 we gave two special
recognition pins with a "Gift to Missions" in their names.  Other contributions included Gift in Memory,
World Thank Offering, Call to Prayer and Self Denial, Ogden Friendship House, Youthville and Roundup
For Hunger.  We gave a monetary gift to Prison Ministries and a big box of yarn for their knitting program.
The Women's Division has a reading program in which our ladies may participate.  Response Magazine is
included in this reading program.  Six of our members completed the Reading Program, and one member
is a 5 Star member, as of 2004.
As a community service we serve funeral lunches to the bereaved.
We are thankful we can help others and ourselves grow spiritually through lessons, fellowship and our
reading.
